Did you know that the world’s first car was a Mercedes-Benz? The Patent Motorwagen was designed by Carl Benz in 1885 and patented on January 29 of the following year with the number 37435, for a “vehicle with a gasoline engine.” Since then, Mercedes-Benz has continued to generate buzz with its innovative technology, superior quality, and exclusive designs.
Though it would not be a first for Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 is currently one of the top-trending cars. This is of no surprise, as it is a spectacular vehicle full of the essential characteristics of this brand, marking the perfect balance between luxury, elegance, technology, and security. We have complied a list of its comforts and distinctions.
Hood
The center of the hood bares a thin chrome line that adds a touch of elegance. The car comes with considerable chrome detailing, but in matte or satin finishes, on the grill, for example, and in the lower areas where the air intakes are.
Invisible handles
The handles are embedded in the doors, which adds even more elegance. With a slight push against the doors, the handles pop out to use when needed.
Maybach logo
The car sports and enormous Maybach logo on the C-pillars, which helps identify this car as an S-class, as this model is slightly longer than an S-class sedan (at 18 feet long). The rims also bare the Maybach logo to emphasize that this is the most equipped and luxurious Mercedes on the market.
Outer rear
The Maybach logo is also distinguished at the rear, in addition to the S 680 nomenclature. The lights are LED, and it also contains fiber optic pieces, making it safe and comfortable even when there is little light in the vehicle. The chrome on the lower part makes the vehicle look slimmer. The two exhausts are very functional and have a line going down the middle that makes it look sportier.
Inner rear
The rear doors are larger than those of a normal vehicle and those of an S-Class Sedan, which emphasizes this model’s superior degree of comfort and luxury.
From there, you can access a refrigerator located in the trunk. Also, the front seat can be moved for more space. It includes a fully electric center console equipped with a tablet. You can manage all the controls of the car from there or from the screens located in front of each seat. It also has some very practical folding tables for eating or working.
Front seat amenities
It boasts the new MBUX system, a new dimension of infotainment, intuitive operation by voice, touch, or gestures. It also has the highest level of leather finish and interior parts. The headliner of this model is leather. You can control the sound system on the center screen and select passenger control. The steering wheel has tactile surfaces in addition to buttons, which creates a very clean aesthetic.
Trunk
The opening and closing of the trunk can be done through the control center, but you can also open it by passing your foot under it, since it has an automatic opening and closing system. In the trunk you will find a refrigerator that can be removed when you require more cargo space.
Light technology
Mercedes offers DIGITAL LIGHT technology, which uses smart LED bulbs that illuminate exactly where you need light and changes the lights in the required area. It also has a kind of overhead projector that lights up areas, objects, people, or animals that you select.
Rims and tires
The rims have a unique Maybach design. They measure 19 inches and come with a flange that helps reduce wind resistance, which in turn reduces energy consumption (this is a V12 engine, after all). Its tires are of the Mercedes Original Extended brand, which guarantees that if one of them were to strike out, you can travel up to 50 more miles at no more than 50 miles per hour before changing it.
Sound system
It is the Burmester Highend 4D System and it is regulated from a screen, which creates the sensation of having a buffer per seat and helps you regulate them individually. It also allows you to create custom sound profiles or use those already built into the vehicle. With 4D sound you can choose which seat receives the most impact of both bass and treble.
